The 2013 Edition of the American Casino Guide is now out. This valuable reference to all the casinos in the US is put out each year by Steve Bourie and offers more than just 300 pages of casino names and addresses. Each listing has highlights of the property, games offered, hours, even directions.
The guide also has practical advice for the games offered by casinos, and if you can't find it on our pages, it's probably in Steve's. In addition, there are pages and pages of coupons and specials to be used at many casinos. Just a cursory glance tells me there are many free meals, match play coupons, and room deals.
For instance, there is a coupon for the El Cortez in Las Vegas with a special $30 room rate 
and your second night free. Did you know that Bugsy Siegel used to own the El Cortez?
While you are enjoying your freebies and specials, remember that most dealers and slot personnel are working at your local casino for minimum wage. Casinos can be great places to work, but a lot of workers depend on tips. If you don't know about tipping in casinos, it's pretty easy, and you can always ask the person, "Can I bet for you?"
If you have a good time gambling, don't be afraid to fill out a comment card about your experience. You'd be surprised how important those can be. Casino managers really do read those things! Hate the music? Tell 'em.
Love the floor supervisor? Tell 'em. Don't expect any changes if you don't tell anyone what you think!
