Who got da props? Evidently, not Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. It bothered me to see hip-hop's cold-ass honkies omitted from MTV's Hottest MC list. Since last year, Mack and Ryan have proved that indie artists can make a major impact. Following a sold-out world tour, their debut album The Heist is inches away from a gold plaque.
Over four million people purchased "Thrift Shop" and "Wing$" soundtracked this year's NBA All-Star Weekend. Wins like that shouldn't be ignored. Not since Gang Starr, has hip-hop witnessed a successful rapper and producer/DJ combination
